As the CEO and Lead Writer of Lauren Perna Communications, my goal is to build an experienced team of writers that will help deliver powerful messages for companies that are improving lives and inspiring others.
For the bulk of my career, I held a multi-faceted role at MassBio, the non-profit life sciences trade organization. I led initiatives to grow the company’s presence, helped life sciences companies raise their visibility, and built a strong network of life sciences professionals. After nearly nine years there, I took a huge leap of faith and decided to go out on my own. I consulted in marketing and communications for a few years, eventually formalizing my services into Lauren Perna Communications.
With my unmistakable energy and enthusiasm, I’ve made a name for myself as the go-to content and copywriting expert with a deep understanding of the life sciences industry. On a personal level, I am passionate about mental health advocacy, using my personal experience to help raise awareness around mental illness.
In addition to my own entrepreneurial adventures, I work alongside my hubby Jon managing our Boston area apartment building. I am a dedicated volunteer, always willing to step in for a good cause or fundraiser. I live and die for country music, the Patriots, and my 9-lb chihuahua/terrier Tessie (not in that order). I am forever grateful for the support of my family and friends. Jon and I split our time between Dedham, MA, and our Gilford, NH house. We have big dreams of buying more property and traveling the world.
